Rebate Assignment

Income Eligibility - Single Family

Your enrollment in either the California Alternative Rates for Energy (CARE), or Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) programs may qualify you for increased rebates!

Pre-Wiring

Electrical work beyond the basic installation may apply for the Pre-Wiring rebate. Eligible measures include but are not limited to panel upgrades, sub panel additions, running conduit and wiring. Qualifying electric work must be directly related to installing the appliance(s) receiving the rebate.

Electrify Your Home (EYH) Terms & Conditions

 
You're almost there! We just need to verify that you understand the program's Terms & Conditions.

Definitions:

APPLICANT – references the 3CE homeowner and/or lawful residential tenant, residing in the 3CE service territory, who is applying for the EYH program.

CONTRACTOR – references the individual and/or company completing the installation of appliance(s) and invoicing the APPLICANT

If the APPLICANT’s CONTRACTOR is submitting the application on the APPLICANT’s behalf and/or serving as the rebate recipient, the CONTRACTOR certifies APPLICANT understands and has approved all of the terms and conditions.

By submitting this application, APPLICANT agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. APPLICANT must be a 3CE residential customer residing at an address within 3CE’s service territory. Appliance(s) must be installed at a 3CE service address within 3CE’s service territory.
  2. APPLICANT agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 3CE and its officers, agents, employees, or representatives from all claims, demands, losses, expenses, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees and expenses and all court costs, resulting from, arising out of, or in any way directly connected with connection with the APPLICANT’s participation in the Program, an APPLICANT’s receipt of the rebate, failure to receive a rebate, any taxes associated therewith. 3CE shall not be liable to the other for incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
  3. Submittal of this Application does not commit 3CE to any financial obligation to any APPLICANT. 3CE will only commit to award funds to the APPLICANT upon written confirmation that all program eligibility conditions are met and all required documents and information pertaining to this Application have been provided to 3CE. The Program is on a first-come, first served basis until funding is depleted.
  4. 3CE reserves the right to discontinue the Program at any time for any or no reason and remove all available, non-reserved funds.
  5. 3CE reserves the right to change the requirements and/or due dates as may be necessary.
  6. 3CE reserves the right to consider factors other than those specified within this Application and to request additional information from APPLICANT that are pertinent to the Program.
  7. 3CE reserves the right to reject any or all applications received in relation to the Program.
  8. 3CE does not issue an IRS 1099-MISC for the rebate and 3CE cannot offer tax advice of any kind. It is the APPLICANT'S responsibility to contact a tax professional regarding the taxability of the provided rebate.
  9. Upon receipt of the rebate award, APPLICANT agrees to remain enrolled in a 3CE service for a minimum of 24-consecutive months following the appliance(s) purchase date(s).
  10. APPLICANT confirms that the incentivized appliance(s) is/are for residential use only. APPLICANT shall not utilize the rebate program on a repetitive basis for monetary gain.
  11. APPLICANT certifies that the installed appliance(s) were purchased new and unused. Appliances categorized as resale units, rebuilt, refurbished, or worn do not qualify under this program. APPLICANT must present proof of purchase, and any other requested documentation to 3CE in order to qualify. Appliance(s) must be installed and utilized residentially in accordance with eligibility guidelines stated on the website at time of application submission. 3CE makes no warranty whatsoever about the installed appliances.
  12. APPLICANT certifies that they have obtained all necessary local permits and installed all appliances by a state licensed contractor.
  13. APPLICANT certifies the following: I verify the appliance(s) work(s), and know how to operate it and maintain it in a safe and reliable manner. I agree to follow the Manufacturer’s operational instructions, specifications, obtain any requisite permits, consents and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and building codes and standards required to operate and install the appliance(s).
  14. APPLICANT certifies that APPLICANT has disclosed any additional funding anticipated or received to fund appliance(s)’ purchase and installation. Eligible costs for heat pump water heater, heat pump HVAC, induction cooktop, and portable space conditioner rebates include cost of appliance, installation cost, and any additional eligible costs stated in the rebate eligibility guidelines. Eligible costs for the Electrical Upgrade Rebate includes cost of materials and labor related to electrical work necessary for appliance installation. APPLICANT understands that the final rebate amount issued can be up to but not exceeding 100% eligible project costs, minus any current or prospective financial incentives or rebates from additional funding sources (“Net Eligible Cost”).
  15. APPLICANT understands that by receiving the rebate, 3CE may publicly share aggregate data about the program which will include APPLICANT’s project, rebate, and/or installation contractor. 3CE will not release the APPLICANT’s personal and/or identifiable information without APPLICANT’s written consent.
  16. By participating in this program, APPLICANT releases claim of and understands that 3CE may publicly share APPLICANT’s installation photo(s). 3CE will remove any personally identifiable information before sharing photos. 3CE will not release the APPLICANT’s personal and/or identifiable information without APPLICANT’s written consent.
  17. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California, without reference to its conflicts of law provisions. Any dispute, or claim arising out of relating to this Agreement, or breach thereof shall be venued in Monterey County.
  18. APPLICANT authorizes that information related to the contents and status of the APPLICANT’s rebate application may be shared with the CONTRACTOR listed in the application. Data may include name of applicant, rebate amount, and application status. If APPLICANT wishes to revoke authorization, APPLICANT must contact 3CE with written instructions to revoke access.
  19. These terms may be modified at any time in accordance with any legal or regulatory directive.
  20. APPLICANT certifies that all information provided as part of this Application, including any attachments, are true and correct.
