What to Expect:
  • To apply, you must be a customer of Central Coast Community Energy (3CE). If you are not sure if you receive Central Coast Community Energy’s services, please call 1-877-455-2223 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday to speak with a Local Customer Service Representative.
  • Before applying, please check the Application Checklist to get all of the required information ready.
  • You can apply for one or more rebates in any order.
  • You must fill in all fields that are marked with an “*”. Please complete the application as well as you can. If you provide incorrect or incomplete information and/or documentation it may take longer to process your application.

The copy of your purchase or lease agreement must be a final copy (executed and signed). Pro forma copies and order agreements are not accepted. We require the executed purchase/lease agreement with VIN #. If you are submitting documents related to a Tesla vehicle, the VIN # will be located on the left side of the document.

EV Readiness Rebate

 
The EV Readiness rebate is available post-purchase for materials, labor, and/or electrical work associated with installation of EV chargers. Customers may apply before or after an EV charger is installed.
This may include, but is not limited to: electrical service panel upgrades or replacement, electrical wiring, receptacles, J-boxes, conduit, smart splitters, trenching, and/or costs associated with permitting.
Electrical work performed by the homeowner/property owner will only be reimbursed for materials. Non-homeowner/non-property owners must have electrical work and/or EV charger installation performed by a licensed electrician, or otherwise authorized to perform electrical/installation work as defined by the Authority Having Jurisdiction building guidelines.

Electrify Your Ride Application Terms & Conditions

 
By submitting this application, APPLICANT agrees to the following terms and conditions:
 
  1. APPLICANT must be a 3CE residential or commercial customer. Vehicles purchased must be registered to an address within 3CE’s service territory. Chargers installed must be installed at an address within 3CE’s service territory.
  2. APPLICANT agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 3CE and its agents, employees, or representatives from all claims, demands, and liabilities, including bodily injury claims arising out of or in connection with the APPLICANT’s participation in the Program. Neither 3CE nor APPLICANT shall be liable to the other for incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damage.
  3. Submittal of this Application does not commit 3CE to any financial obligation to any APPLICANT. 3CE will only commit to award funds to APPLICANT upon written confirmation that all program eligibility conditions are met and all required documents and information pertaining to this Application have been provided to 3CE. The Program is on a first-come, first served basis until funding is depleted.
  4. 3CE reserves the right to discontinue the Program at any time for any or no reason and remove all available, non-reserved funds.
  5. 3CE reserves the right to change the requirements and/or due dates as may be necessary.
  6. 3CE reserves the right to consider factors other than those specified within this Application and to request additional information from APPLICANT that are pertinent to the Program.
  7. 3CE reserves the right to reject any or all applications received in relation to the Program.
  8. 3CE does not issue a 1099 for the rebate and 3CE cannot offer tax advice of any kind. It is APPLICANT'S responsibility to contact a tax professional regarding the taxability of the provided rebate.
  9. During the period of residency in a 3CE service territory, APPLICANT agrees to remain enrolled in a 3CE service for a minimum of 24 consecutive months following the vehicle purchase or lease date and/or EV Charger purchase date.
  10. APPLICANT confirms that the incentivized vehicle and/or EV charger is for residential and/or commercial use only. APPLICANT shall not utilize the rebate program on a repetitive basis for monetary gain.
  11. APPLICANT shall register and insure any new vehicle incentivized by 3CE as required by the California State law for a minimum of 24 consecutive months immediately after the vehicle purchase or lease date.
  12. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California, without reference to its conflicts of law provisions. Any dispute, or claim arising out of relating to this Agreement, or breach thereof shall be venued in Monterey County.
  13. These terms may be modified at any time in accordance with any legal or regulatory directive.
  14. APPLICANT certifies that all information provided as part of this Application, including any attachments, are true and correct.
  15. APPLICANT certifies that APPLICANT has disclosed any additional funding anticipated or received to fund the vehicle and/or EV charger purchase and installation. Eligible costs for EV rebate include cost of vehicle and any additional eligible costs stated in the rebate eligibility guidelines. Eligible costs for the Level 2 EV Charger rebate include cost of the Level 2 EV charging equipment and any additional eligible costs stated in the rebate eligibility guidelines. Eligible costs for the Level 3 EV Charger Rebate include cost of the Level 3 EV Charging equipment, installation materials, and installation labor, and any additional eligible costs stated in the rebate eligibility guidelines. Eligible costs for the EV Readiness Rebate include cost of materials and labor related to electrical work necessary for EV Charger installation. APPLICANT understands that the final rebate amount issued can be up to but not exceeding 100% eligible project costs, minus any current or prospective financial incentives or rebates from additional funding sources (“Net Eligible Cost”).
